So I own a 2009 Tacoma. It’s currently sitting on 9” of lift. 6” suspension lift and a 3” body lift. My question is I want my truck to squat and I’m wondering how I get the rear end to sit lower.
I tried taking out the lift block which we’re about 3” so the truck squatted a little but not much. The next thing I did was I left the blocks out and also took out my added leaf spring and put Chevy drop shackles in. After finishing that I took the truck out for a spin but the ride is extremely rough. It’s almost unbearable. So the next chance I get I’ll be putting the stock shackles back in. I would really appreciate any ideas on how to squat my truck but not make it ride like a wooden roller coaster going down the road.
    PS. It’s a “2009 Tacoma Prerunner”

Take out the body lift and 6 inch “suspension lift” then buy a real suspension lift. Problem solved.

Throw about 500 pounds of sandbags in the bed, that will make it squat

Is this what you’re going for? You can get that by removing the added lifting components from the rear so all that’s back there is the original stock leaf pack.

So your saying leave the lift blocks out, take out the added leaf, and keep the stock shackles, along with putting the stock shocks back in the rear.

The only thing with that is the truck is still going to ride stiff. Correct?

What provides the lift up front? Strut spacer or extended coilover assembly? The extended assembly will provide a much better ride. That or I’ve seen some people use the extended Bilstein 5100 that comes with the RCD lift and pair it eibachs for additional lift. I believe that combo provides more than 6” which might help you get the lean if you then ditched a part of your rear lift.

Maybe? The stock rear isn't stiff but I don't know how much it will be affected by having the front of the truck all jacked up.

I have coil overs in the front. So before I took out the added leaf and also tried to add drop shackles the ride wasn’t stiff at all it rode very smooth. But after taking out the added leaf and trying Chevy drop shackles it rises like s**t. I know I can just take the lift out of the back.. but then. My tires will rub.. and that’s not what I want.

You could try the RCD billy 5100 combo with an aftermarket coil to further lift your front. That will give more than the extended coil over you have that provides 6”. Then you wouldn’t have to touch the back. Not sure how much higher you want it in the front over the back though.

I hope they do pass it. Hell, there are a few Silverado's around that have done this shit and they have the tailgate half way down.

Your rear shocks are too long and are bottomed out.
