Actually, I basically know squat about electrical issues, but that does sound like a poor ground situation. If it isn't that, I'd be in the same boat as you, asking for help.

They generally are pretty dim on those. The output isn't all that great. If you put hids in them they are better. But those are pretty low quality projectors. I may be wrong, I would wait until someone with them can elaborate. But from the pics I've seen using them with halogens, they aren't that great and worse than stock. Maybe YouTube them in the meantime to compare.

If you want, TRS makes Spyder drop in brackets so you can upgrade those junky projectors to mini h1s.

Well, like gym jamz said, you can get minis from trs that bolt on. Idk if they offer it as a kit, but they do have quality hid kits. Even going with one of trs' plug and play hid kits would be your best bet for good quality, if you didn't wanna deal with the projector swap. But doing the projector swap would compliment the hids much much more and have a huge increase in output. If you're on a budget, I would research the lower priced hid kits like on Amazon. Try it out, if it's not good enough for you, return and save up for a proper setup. Because from what I've heard, just putting hids in those is a considerable increase so it might just be ok with that. But finding a budget hid kit can sometimes be a pain. I always hear about ballasts going out. But most will send you new ones. It's just the hassle of dealing with that, that may be a factor for you. And that's not to say you won't have issues with a trs kit either. But they have much better warranties and customer service. Because I have had issues with mine in the past but they were awesome in taking care of me.

The stock output on those is horrible. contact TRS and get a HID kit.

You will need H1 bulbs for both lows and highs

My suggestion is to buy only a kit for the lows. the headlights require physical modifications if you try and use the HID's for the highs. find a better halogen bulb for the H1 highbeams

you will still need to modify the harness on the spyder assembly so you can power the highs after adding the HID harness.

This is not a complete plug in play kit for this headlight assembly when upgrading to HID's with those lights. harness modifications are easy.

Yeah, I would double the fine prints and even an email to them would help. They're super helpful guys, very knowledgeable
