If you have successfully spray painted your coil springs, what was the process & what spray paint did you use?
I ordered some blue King's & want to paint them white. I will NOT pay to have the powder coated so let's keep this to people who have successfully painted theirs w/spray can paint.
    Thanks!

Guessing you're not doing this yourself or you wouldn't be asking. Canned spray paint is not designed to flex and will flake off pretty quickly. Either plasti-dip them or take them to a body shop where they can add a flex agent to the paint.

Yes I'm doing it myself, that's why I'm asking!
I've read where others have had success using spray paint but the brand and process were discussed in length.
    Thanks.

If you just want to make them not blue (King) and will settle for either black or silver, Eibach sells 650 and 700 lb 14 inch coils.

Krylon Fusion. Powdercoat is essentially plastic, so a plastic compatible paint is best. If you want THE best, get this: https://www.semproducts.com/product/vinyl-coattm

SEM products are awesome, and luckily you are in Texas. Unless things have changed, they can't ship to California.

The one you linked isn't for metal but they have another flexible paint product that is. Supposedly there's a distributor about 5 miles from my house so I'll go check it out. Thanks!

Unless you are stripping the powder coat off, I would use the stuff I linked. Powdercoat is plastic beads that are held on by electrostatic force and then melted into a solid sheet. Of course, yea, bare metal is another deal. I've been using SEM products since the 70's, if you can believe that. It will perform just as they claim it will.

The PC on the coils has some flakes so I was going to sand them some. Your thoughts on that? Thanks.

If the stuff is flaking, then get it off and start from bare metal. Flaking means rust can live underneath. If is just chipped, then surface sand it, and touch up the chips if you can with primer. Then spray it

Good deal on the coils lol. I painted my sons coils on his first gen with high temp paint (exhaust manifold paint) . IIlet the cure aafew days and the I baked them at 200 for 20 min . Did the same with some eibach's that looked rough. Just did the same with some 600 king's blue to black . No chips or cracking .
