Me thinks with A Avylanch "sport" bar and Sport chin strap makes one cooler than cool

 

that's the one i've looked at a number of times.

but i can't leave anything alone. i want to make one wide enough to still roll up my tonneau cover all the way.

current plan once i'm ready to do it is to reach out to heavy metal off road and see if they can just bend the tubes, leave one of the bars longer than the other, and just send the parts so i can finish weld it and cut the one at an angle as needed..

of course, i also want to run an in-bed winch, with a pulley at the center of the roll bar for a high pull point, which of course further complicates the stresses the entire system is under

you don't know how many times i've been walking through home depot and almost bought some 2" EMT to mock it up...

I believe it is this. I’m a former Toyota employee, and I’ve never actually seen on with my own eyes. However… you won’t have a hard time selling it if you hate to be honest. People love that stuff. Hell, I like how the pictures look. I’d say go for it and see how you like the look

Ok, so it came in today and I had my salesman send me pictures. I’m picking it up on Saturday but here are the pictures.

Curious, did you order the color/trim etc? But just not the bar? Or are ya just grabbing the first tacoma in - regardless of what ya want? If ya don’t love it, just grab the next one?

Looks great. Price really is not bad if you look online they are not much cheaper.

 

Tacomas are cool; but will never be 1970s 1980s square body Chevy and GMC 4x4s with modifications and accessories ordered from the back of a magazine bought at an IGA grocery store, cool.

Well, like I mentioned before, my car is on its last leg and the new vehicles are pretty much bought (deposit down) before they get to the dealership in my area. So, basically the dealership knew I wanted a Tacoma and called me when they knew what was allocated to them. It was either, choose one of the allocations and put a deposit down, or wait until the next allocation which doesn’t guarantee they would have any of my preferences. So, I put a deposit down on the first TRD 4WD I could. What I wanted was a manual, TRD off-road in army green. Who knows, maybe I’ll fall in love with the automatic sport.
