Spidertrax spacers on trd pro

Wanting a little poke on my pro. Don't want to spend $3000 on a whole new lift + wheel + tire setup, still got fresh tires. Would I be able to run these spidertrax 1.25 inch wheel spacers

I have 1" spacers and my tires run right to the edge of the flairs on my OR. Some people look down on spacers, say they put more strain on suspension bits. I can't see how they are any different than wheels with a different offset. Make sure you torque them properly when installed and check them at least on the first rotation after that.

 

Wheels with a different offset are bad for the same reason. Spacers are also hated because they have a reputation for snapping studs.

 

The reason spacers are very illegal in many countries…

 

I just installed them on my 21 OR, really nice product.

They might rub on the back of the front fender trim. I ambstock with 265/70 and they're within 1/2". Not sure if the pro wheels have different offset, but my stock OR wheels are close to rubbing.

I have had spacers on just about every vehicle i have owned. I retorque them at every rotation, and always use a torque wrench, never an impact.

 

There is absolutely nothing wrong with adapter style spacers.

 

Agreed. Proper install and proper maintenance has mine with zero issues after a probably more than 250,000 miles between all the vehicles I have owned and put spacers on.

But hey ... torque wrenching is hard for a lot of folks, I guess.

 

That’s the key - proper install and maintenance. You run into that with wheels as well. If you don’t check torque they can come off too. I’m like you though, I had spacers on a few different vehicles. Zero problems so far.
