Installed an Eclipse AVN6620 (Double Din DVD/NAV) in my 08 Tacoma. My question is about 2 wires I have no idea where to connect to my tacoma.

    They are for:

    Vehicle Speed Pulse Signal
    and
    Reverse Signal

Any help with where to hook these 2 wires into the tacoma factory wiring would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Reverse Signal - Wire 12 (green) Looks like this gets connected to the high side of the circuit when trans is in reverse. Note: in manual says to use circuit tester to verify that signal is at 6 volts or higher when trans is in reverse!
Not sure on the Vehicle Speed Pulse Signal quite yet.

Someone with the program "Direct Wire 2.0" provided these answers to me.

    Item Wire Color Wire Location

Reverse Signal Red/White Driver Kick, Gray 12 pin plug, Pin 1

Speed Pulse Signal Purple/White Fuse box, Black 13 pin plug, Pin 5

Both these connections worked great for use with my GPS and Rear Camera. If anyone runs into the same problem and needs help finding the connections above just let me know.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
these sound right to me. i got all my info from avic411.com. they deal w/ pioneer specific stuff, but they also have a section about VSS wires and such. oh, and the VSS wire can also be connected behind the glovebox, but i cant remember exactly which wire it is
