    Hi,
I read up on threads about brake speed bleeder, the original OP posted that the SB7100-SS and SB1010-SS was too long. Can anyone who bought the short version SB7100S-SS and SB1010S-SS can confirm if the "S" version will fit 2nd gen brake bleeder screw? Don't want to buy the wrong version... appreciate the help.

I also appreciate confirmation on the clutch SB1010S-SS, if the short version would be the right speed bleeder to get. I wanted the stainless steel version so hopefully the coating would last longer. Thanks!

SB7100-SS and SB1010-SS were the part numbers that worked for my 2012 OR. Can't say about the clutch though, mines an auto.

So I hope the shorter version will be more like the factory bleed screw. The standard version sticks out...but I don't know how much and don't know if the "S" version will fit. This question also applies to the clutch.

I accidentally bought the short version, didn't look closely enough at the part number and thought I had the one @Crom (thanks again!) listed but no I ordered the short version (three S's in the part number, not two).

Anyway the shorts do not work for the brakes. They can not be tightened down far enough to close off/seal up the check valve. You can tighten them down all you want but brake fluid will continue to release every time you press the brake peddle. Get the long ones.

I didn't know there was a clutch bleeder, I just ordered two pairs, four total, for the brakes. I would be curious to know more about that.

I went back and edited my old post, and scrubbed my comment about preferring a shorter screw. The ones I have are, and work great!

Thank you for your reply...saved me the headache of buying the wrong set. Though spoke to speed bleeders and they said they would exchange them...didn't want to go through the hassle. I figured a post to the forum would get my answer...thank you for that.

Far as the clutch, per their website (speed bleeders) they state the clutch can use the SB1010 version.

So I'm going to be two SB7100-SS and three SB1010-SS. The extra SB1010 for the clutch. I was a bit concerned on their website how they say they would repair broken bleeder screws...I hope they are strong enough...or some folks are just too rough and snap them.

    Thanks again akaboras and Crom.
