Cheap halogen projectors. It will have a clean enough cutoff line with the halogen bulb, but don't expect better than stock light output.

What if you use HID or LED bulbs in them?

You'll get even worse light output with potential glare.

No, these are not Halogen lights. these do have projectors in them, allowing HID/LED installation, but these are kinda new and havent been widely installed/used. IMO there gonna be about as good as any other aftermarket headlight, they will do ok but your gonna need to seal them up when you get them.

There is such a thing as halogen projectors. Just because it is a projector does not mean it is designed for use with a HID or LED. In fact, there are no projectors designed for use with LED bulbs.

Pretty much what @snowbrdd said. They are cheap, and the company has a reputation for being cheap. I've really looked into this topic, and searched and read many threads on different headlights, and the concensus came down to this:
    a) do the morimoto projector retrofit with the stock housing
    or
    b) leave the stock headlights as they are

These plug-and-play headlight kits have been notorious for leaking, and the output of light sucks compared to stock. Personally, I really wish I could install somethings like these (because they look awesome!!!), but I'm not willing to sacrifice light output for the sake of appearances.

    Just my 2 cents.

Looks like there out of stock and use h1 bulbs.
Like @Benzdriver81 said most aftermarket suck. I bought used headlights here on tacomaworld restored lenses and now I can retrofit or bhlm the extra set while oem headlights stay on truck.
    I'd Stick with oem.

It's funny when our society pretends to be animal friendly...when we eat them! and the ones we don't eat, we keep imprisoned as our personal "pets".. teaching them tricks and disassociating them from living in the wild.
bulldoze there homes into parking lots and keep the "cute" ones for our own amusement.

Haha I'm just playn', I'm a hunter anyways.

I stumbled across this thread while searching around this morning. I was looking at these also and wondering if you could just drop better projectors in them if you so choose?

At that price why not just buy a kit from The Retrofit Source and upgrade your stock lights?

If the projectors themselves are good and it's just buying a new bulb set it might be easier in the long run. Besides downtime it is a daunting thing to some of us to open up the headlights.

I've been looking at these headlights as well as others, and it seems like people are having good luck with them as long as they seal them up better. Although there have been complaints in reviews about bulbs burning out.

i dont think i would even bother with their HID kit to be honest if those are the bulbs your referring to.
I would at least get into a DDM kit to keep this a moderate budget friendly upgrade.

I would still like to see actual photos of this item working as well.
