Hoping someone can help me out here. I know absolutely NOTHING about sound systems. But as a music lover, the one thing I do know is that the standard system that came with my 2023 TRD OR isn’t cutting it.

I’m looking for much more bass, clarity, and overall volume for less than $300-400. Additionally, my truck sees dirt frequently, I need all the space I have. So just upgrading the speakers that are already there is a must. I saw some threads here about using Subaru speakers and such, which isn’t exactly the direction I want to go. You ask me about suspension and I could ramble about it for 3 hours, but I’m like Patrick Star if you bring up speakers

I see that Trail Grid Pro has a 6-speaker Kicker system for the truck, which I may be interested in especially since it's currently on sale. I'm also not opposed to JBL, my friend has JBL in his Colorado from the factory and it sounds great. Bur I don't know how the fitment works for stuff like that.

ANY advise on this would be amazing

That’s not really a workable budget for your requirements

buying those speakers from TGP is about a hundred bucks more expensive than buying them from Crutchfield or Best Buy. But that still hits $300 just for speakers.

    you won’t get more bass
    You won’t get more volume
You’ll get a tiny tiny increase in clarity.

speakers need power. You can get the Kicker Key amp for another $225 on sale. Will change the whole game.
You’ll still be limited on bass if you’re used to a subwoofer.

you can also do the build in phases. Drop $300 in speakers now.
$225 on the Key amp when funds are there.
Small powered sub (or whatever you prefer, as big as you like) when those funds are available

Gotcha, so theoretically if I purchased the TGP Kicker set, and this key from Crutchfield, https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20647KEY20/Kicker-47KEY200-4.html?carstereo=Factory would I need to purchase anything else (mounts, wires etc.) or would I get everything I need shipped with those? Trying to make this as easy for me to install myself as possible. As for the sub, I don’t even know where I would put a tiny one. I’ve got to much gear in the back seat storage for pretty much anything. Appreciate the help!
