I recent bought a 2018 TRD Off-Road. I'm experiencing an issue with the passenger door speaker. When I play music the speaker will produce a static/rattling sound. I'm not sure if it is only when I play music through bluetooth, I still need to test it with the radio.

I've brought the truck into two dealerships. Both times the technician was able to duplicate the issue but then told me their was nothing they could do.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Or does anyone have any advice for me?

Need to determine if its reception or speaker related. If it also does it with the radio and a USB input then it's probably the speaker or loose speaker mounting. If it's only during bluetooth it could be the quality of your phone or external bluetooth source.

Surprised the technician didnt try to duplicate with a hardwired source.

First try it with the radio, if it sounds fine, then you know its not the speaker. If its still bad, then you can go further with the speaker diagnostics. If you find it is the speaker, then look for a bad/loose connection on the speaker first.
If you determine its not the speaker because it was good with just regular radio, then try a different bluetooth source. If you try a new bluetooth device and all is well, then you have your problem. If it is still bad with a different bluetooth device, then your issue is probably in the headunit. A good technician could have this narrowed down in a matter of 5 minutes, not sure where you are taking your truck, but I hope they are better at mechanical issues than they are electronics.

I would not accept "there's nothing they could do" The damn thing is early into the warranty period and simple stuff like speakers should work without issue. I'd go but the ladder at the dealership.

We have the JBL stereo in my wife's tacoma and the driver's side door has a rattle during loud bass passages. $10 worth of sound deadening should do the trick.

“Nothing we can do” is a pretty lousy answer for a vehicle still under warranty. Unless you’ve done any mods, I’d be pissed. Hopefully you have another option for a dealership.

Thank you all for your responses. I tested the speaker through the radio and USB from my phone. I played the same song from the radio and got the same static sound from all three. I’m going to call Customer Care today to see what we can do to escalate the issue.

Also going to give the Taco a nice bath today since Atlanta is having its first nice weekend since I bought the truck :)

So I ended up working through customer care. They set me up with an appointment with the service center at the dealership I bought the truck from. A service manager sat in the car with me to duplicate the issue. I had come prepared with a playlist of songs that I knew would produce the static noise I was hearing. On the second song that I played he immediately said he could hear it and that they would need to replace the speaker. Took them a day and half to get the speaker and problem solved.
