SPC Light Racing UCA's ball joints totally shot!

    OME 3" Lift with DAKAR'S, LR UCA'S, ECGS Bushing, Leer Cap, 18" Dick Cepek Torque', Duratracs, custom drive shaft, etc!
    Well my SPC Light Racing UCA ball joints are totally shot after 5 years of highway driving (40,000 miles). Glad they didn't exploded wile I was driving. SPC basically said I was SOL on warranty. Replaced them with the newer 25001 ball joints, so hopefully they last longer.

    Yeah, maybe you guys are right. I just figured that since my last Taco's factory ball joints lasted at least 100,000 miles before I sold it, that after market ball joints would last just as long.

    Yes, I installed the 25001 replacement joints and they seem much better.

    I just recognized the name. I've watched countless hours of his documentaries of Alaskan life!!!! I wanted to be him when I grew up. Sadly, life got in the way.

    I had too change out the ball joints on mine too. Also changed the the spec ride bushings with the newer design, I had the ones with the 4 washers. Couldn't believe how bad the sleeves were bonded to the rubber, they're supposed to be free pivoting bushings.

    Whats a good UCA greasable balljoint replacement upgrade for the Light Racing set up? While we're at it, whats a nice LCA bushing upgrade?

    btw, i got almost exactly the same miles (40k) on mne before they started making some noise.

    Mine squeak like a son of a b now. Doesn't appear to be the ball joints, but the bushings.

    I’ll add my 2 cents, my driver side arm started squeaking anytime I’d go over bumps. I ended up disconnected at the ball joint and spindle, cleaned it up put it back together and that fixed the squeaking. Before that I tried loosening the UCA through bolt but it still squeaked after that.
