    Regarding changing plug #3 on 1999 2.4.
Might be easiest to undo that plug wire at the coil end,,,vs removing the
    air filter box?
If so, how do I get that wire loose from the coil? I just need to loosen it to get some slack in the wire to pull the end out of the spark plug hole...
    Help?

I always just removed the airbox lid and tube when i changed out #3. You can loosen it enough to get it out of the way in order to pull out the coilpack.

Just pull the tab thingy on the wire back like any other connector and slide that whole plastic piece upward. You might have to wiggle it a bit. Then the end of the wire just pulls out freely similar to an RCA wire.
