Just got my 2013 Tacoma 4x4.
I've seen that some people say the OEM toyota lock is a piece of junk. Others say use a thick cable lock. What are you all recommending?

Your new ride looks great Agro! Just checked my Toyota lock yesterday to find someone had tried to tamper with it which boogered it up and now unusable. So it did the job yet needs attention. I'd be inclined to go with the cable next.

Mine has a spot for a padlock, that locks the wheel to the little tray that drops down to the ground. I have it padlocked.

    Here you go:y8ahe2u3_3baa2c868d44b4c18df8d3d1e029b29c32cd76cc.jpg

I wrapped it in electrical tape to stop the lock from scratching the rim.

It is a small lock that can be cut with bolt cutters-however-it will deter thieves for a little bit.

No problem! Thats what this forum is for.

I spent almost 10 years as a toyota mechanic, so I became very familiar with the way this company does things.
