    None...yet.
Just got back from family vaca on the Big Island and Oahu. There were Tacomas everywhere! Some really bad ass ones, tricked out, lifted, nice wheels, customs, etc. Every year, every configuration. They were like F150s are here in GA...seemed like every other vehicle on the road. Any idea why? Aren't they all made in TX, CA or Mexico? Seems like other truck makes would be shipped over just as easily.

Cause they are midsize pick ups, and they are Toyota. A lot of Japanese here so there tends to be a Japanese biased. Also not a lot of parking spaces in the towns so having a smaller truck that call haul kayak, canoe, surf boards, fishing stuff works great. They are the highest selling vehicle in our state per insurance companies.

Makes me want to move to Hawaii. In Texas my taco is always surrounded by idiots in f150s

Those F150s need someone to pull them free when they get stuck!

I was thinking of posting the same thing! I too just got back from the Big Island and Oahu a couple weeks ago. I was floored by how many Tacos there were.

I totally agree. Tacomas in Hawaii are like Prius' and Teslas here in the Bay Area, CA. My in-laws are in Mililani and I use to play a game with my son when I first started visiting Oahu. "Count How Many Tacomas I See". I stopped playing after I counted like 15x Tacomas after driving 2 miles.

Interesting fact: all the toyota dealerships in Hawaii are owned by single family..... and (I believe) Toyota Hawaii is affiliated more with Toyota Japan versus Toyota USA.

Samething on Maui and Kauai. More Tacomas then any other type of truck. Gas at $4.00+ a gallon for regular.

Yeah, but it's Hawaii. How far do you really have to drive? I have to put ~2000 miles on my truck just to go on a decent wheeling trip.

You’d be surprised my friend put 45k on his 4Runner in a year, and with how bad our traffic is take what ever the trucks mileage is and times it by two. Island miles are tough on a vehicle.

Not quite $4 a gallon but depending where you go to fill up it’s pretty close!

    Bumping this thread.

Finally made the move to Kauai...during a pandemic no less (lets just say a hard move was even harder).

I honestly cannot believe how many tacomas are here, wow...I mean literally every damn car it seems. Kinda cool, but then again it feels a bit strange.
