I am installing a Sony head unit on my 2012 non jbl. Got the whole kit pre wired from pro trail grid. All went well but I got stuck with the usb cord harness. They already connected it to the unit and added an adapter to it but can’t find anything from the truck harness to plug in. when I ordered it they asked if I have usb plug under the hvac so I assume it is an adaptor for it.
Also what this harness circled in red for? Ended up as an extra
FYI everything worked well when turn on the radio except the usb but it charged the phone.
I already sent them a email but I don’t think they are available on the weekend.

    Thanks

Connector you circled won’t get used.

the usb is in there somewhere unless there’s an aftermarket usb outlet down there for charging only. If you aren’t the first owner, that could be the case

Contact Trail Grid Pro they're pretty good at responding to emails.
