I tried searching the forums, but so far no luck. (I am going to keep trying, my search-fu is a bit fuzzy)

Does this group have any opinions on the new(ish) 10" Sony ES head unit? One of the main issues I am trying to resolve is the lack Andriod Auto with my 2019 Entune Suite. I have the JBL system, and I am not very happy with the level limiting features of multiple inputs, specifically the bluetooth input.

I would like to be able to use applications like Spotify and GaiaGPS natively on the screen. With apps like GaiaGPS, I would like as large a screen as possible without blasting the entire dash. I have been a fan of Sony products for decades. For me, I feel like it is the best bang for the buck when it comes to audio electronics. I would be replacing the speakers and amps with Rockford Fosgate. But, I am more interested in opinions on the specific unit. If there are any posts that I should look at, please link them up!

It is a $1400 unit, not including Maestro etc. Am I nuts?

I suggest you go to a local shop thats a Sony Dealer and play with it a bit.
I usually go Kenwood Excelon, Alpine, Pioneer(in that order).

    Decals!
I'm currently looking at this one too. I want to see how the 10" screen fits in a 3rd gen. It would be nice to have but in reality I may end up with an Alpine 507.

Kenwood scares me. Every time I've had issues or failures it was from a Kenwood. Also, isn't Alpine making the stereos for Sony now?
