I think it’s a way to get around the PDRC popo. Tires cannot extend wider than the fenders.

Pretty clever way to avoid a ticket.

I think they're called Tallywhackers. Check my Ebay store. Half price of Bushwackers, but made in China.

Well this thread went down the crapper quickly. Still genuinely interested if anyone has a good DIY. I know mine looks the same as yours, just wasn’t sure if yours was exasterbated from a body lift.

Since the top of the gap (bottom of the bed) is straight, what about using some of that vinyl baseboard runner they use in commercial buildings? Adhere it to the bed and cut to fit the profile of the frame where needed. It's usually about 5"-6" wide and pretty thick.

I dunno, that's my final contribution to this thread. I've spent enough time on this nonsense anyway.

    Ciao!

Not a bad idea, I would be concerned with how I am attaching it and wether it would flap around on the highway. Good idea though! Just need to be executed properly.

I can already hear the distinct "whoosh... Blammo! Whoosh... Blammo!..." of the ban hammer approaching.

You can lift the body but if you lower it by shaving the bed mounts and any ribs that would hit the frame the tailgate won't clear the bumper(only ~3/4" clearance as is). The front wells already have liners and aprons so adding them to the rear should actually make for a more consistent look. Also, lowering the bed would cause the bedside styling to no longer line up with that of the cab unless you then shimmed the bed rails and relocated all of the bed side struts. Look at your truck and think it through, there's a reason your getting so much grief. I won't say it's a really stupid idea but it is a pretty stupid one.

So by that math “really stupid” > “pretty stupid” then? :notsure:

    Some consolation.
