Picked up an Extang Solid 2 cover on the cheap that was horribly faded and after searching for products to fix faded plastics I came across some promising results using Solution Finish. I struggled to find any follow up of how it held up to real world use (not scrubbing it with soap for 5 hours) so I figured I might as well track my experience. Note that on the rare occasion that I wash my truck, I do so with a power washer and microfiber towels so if you're a car wash a week kinda guy your results may differ

Here is how the cover looked before the Solution Finish

Application was easy, I bought the 1oz bottle and still had half a bottle left afterwards. I prepped with alcohol and wiped off the excess immediately. I let the cover sit inside overnight. Before putting the cover back on my truck, I applied turtle wax ice to help "seal" it.

As you can see, the cover appears as new and even made the stains disappear. The top of the extang felt extremely porous and the trim pieces were harder - similar to the trim on the tacoma so I'll be watching to see if one surface fades quicker than the other

1/17/21 - One week, had rain and one wash. A little bit of the solution finish dripped onto my paint but it wiped off easily with a microfiber towel

Hello, I'm thinking of using the same product on my tonneau cover. How did it hold up over time?
