    FS: 2003 Toyota Tacoma TRD Ext Cab V6 5MT 4WD 161K

The time has come to sell my Tacoma. I purchased the truck from the original owner at 144K miles in February of 2016. The truck now has 160K miles, and I clearly didn’t drive it as much as I thought I would over the last four years. The truck is now for sale and ready for it's new home.

SOLD! SOLD! SOLD! Vehicle is located in Albuquerque, NM. Clean NM title in hand.

Timing Belt last replaced > 9/2/2010 at Larry H. Miller Toyota ABQ, vehicle mileage = 91,140.

The original owner documented the maintenance/upgrades he did to the truck via a build thread here on the forum. I did my best to continue that tradition by creating a separate thread once I took ownership of the truck.

    Original owner's thread > https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tomtoms-03-trd-xtra-cab-sold.259729/

    My thread > https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bigfishalldays-truck-thread.415048/

The CarFax vehicle history report on the truck is sparkling except for one minor accident back in 2005. Original owner informed me that the truck was lightly rear ended in Tuscon and driven home without issue. The rear bumper and spare tire winch were replaced, and there was no other body damage. The CarFax I have available only contains data up until the time I bought the truck and nothing has transpired during my ownership that would require a new report. You are welcome to pull one if you’d like at your expense. I can provide the report from the original owner pulled at 144K miles.

The basic specs on the truck are as follows:

2003 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Extended Cab V6 4WD 5-Speed MT w/TRD Package, this truck is also equipped with the fully manual J-shift Transfer Case, w/no electronic actuators.

Just under 161,000 miles currently and should not climb much. Next timing belt service due at 180K miles.

Gold Exterior paint is 7.5/10 with a few dents and scratches, and rock chips along the leading edge of hood that have been touched up with OE touch up paint. Tan cloth interior is 9/10 with some minor wear on the DS seat bolster from ingress/egress. All glass is OE except DS door glass, replaced with aftermarket due to vandalism.

Vehicle was purchased new by original owner in Tuscon, AZ and has lived in Tuscon, Phoenix, and Albuquerque its whole life. The truck is rust free, except for minor areas related to aftermarket items like exhaust, leaf springs, and rock slider welds. Some minor surface rust on OE fuel tank skid plate.

Original manuals, dealer documentation, pamphlets, etc. included in leather bound Toyota pouch.

Full OE tool kit and jack are included, along with a few extra tools to expedite tire changes.

Two sets of keys/alarm fobs included along with key(s) for ALL aftermarket locks, camper shell, etc.

Remotes for all aftermarket equipment present and working (audio head unit, winch controller, etc.)

Color matched ATC Brand Camper Shell, reinforced top with adjustable rails and 60” Thule cross bars for mounting accessories and/or roof basket. Sliding window to match that found on the cab of the truck. All glass intact and functioning struts on rear glass. Six aluminum clamps holding shell in place.

Line-X Spray in Bed Liner to protect the inside of the bed from damage.

Along with being a very well equipped truck from the factory, the Tacoma has been upgraded with many high end parts from TRD and other manufacturers.

    Engine & Transmission:

5VZ-FE 3.4L V6 with TRD Supercharger, URD 2.2” Pulley, URD 7th Injector with AIC/FTC, 255 LPH fuel pump, Denso IK22 plugs, and Magnaflow catback exhaust system. Fuel/Timing maps have been tuned for reliability & zero ping from 1K-10K+ feet elevation ASL.

R150F 5 Speed Manual Transmission with URD short shifter, Marlin Crawler shifter bushings.

    Drivetrain:

4.56 gear sets front and rear, professionally set up by East Coast Gear Supply, with an ARB RD90 Air Locking differential up front and the factory E-Locker in the rear. ARB CKMA12 high performance air compressor for activating front air locker and filling tires, ARB air up kit included.

    Suspension:

Approx 3” lift front and rear. Old Man Emu 882 Coil Springs with OME Nitrocharger Sport Shocks up front, paired with OME Dakar leaf springs in the rear and OME Nitrocharger Sport Shocks. Icon Uni-Ball Upper Control arms up front to improve ride and correct caster settings after the lift.

    Armor & Recovery:

Elite OffRoad plate steel bumpers front and rear, made from 3/16” steel, Rocky Road rock sliders, and a BudBuilt 3/16” steel engine skid plate. Smittybilt XRC-8 Winch with synthetic rope installed in front bumper with wireless controls.

    Wheels & Tires:

5 x SCS (Stealth Custom Series) F5 Wheels, 16”x8” with 3.5” BS in Matte Dark Bronze wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires 285/75r16 with 50-60% tread remaining, all evenly worn. Spare tire is a never run, size matched Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx.

The truck has a ton of other modifications & upgrades that we can talk about if you are interested. There is far too much to list and discuss here. In the meantime please see the build threads for more information.

For the right price, the truck will also come with a ton of spare parts and new upgrades that I never got around to installing. Some of the goodies I have available that can go with the truck:

-OME Add-a-Leafs for the rear leaf packs to add load carrying capacity and lift, new

-Innovate Motorsports Wideband AFR gauge, AutoMeter boost gauge, FlexPod dual guage mount for steering column mount, all NIB.

-Many OEM parts… new OEM front CV axle, full set of new OEM u-joints for rear driveshaft, full set of Daystar poly body mount bushings, TONS of OEM hardware (nuts/bolts/etc), OEM touch up paint, full set of Toyota FSMs including electrical, spare set of front spindles with good bearings, spare exhaust tubing & flanges for custom work, original stinger/front hoop removed from the Elite front bumper, PIAA 510 fog & 520 driving lights seen in pics, a NIB 20” Amazon generic light bar that I was toying with, original headlight assemblies (need polishing), FabTech bed mounted spare tire carrier, original intake manifold upper/lower removed during SC install, etc, etc, etc.

    Looks great!
I’m assuming with that package it’s getting around 12 mpg why though?

    Agreed!

Thanks, man. The future plan is unknown at this point, and the 4Runner is staying.

    Thanks.

Did I mistakenly post in the "1st Gen Priuses For Sale" section. OOPS!

I see 14-15 mpg city driving and can wring out almost 20 on highway trips if I drive conservatively.

I had a chance to check out the truck earlier this week and it is very clean. Nick is a great guy and think it is going to a good home. The search continues

Thanks, Chris. I was hoping to see some fast action on your 4Runner too, because that thing is definitely built right.

Thanks, I enjoyed it while I owned it.

    Again, thanks.

Sorry the deal didn't work out between us, Andrew. I appreciated your commitment and interest.

TRUCK IS OFFICIALLY SOLD AS OF 4/27/20!!
