    Hello all!

I own a 2018 DCLB with the upgrade package. This package came with Toyota's "softex" leather seats. I've noticed the material has
stretched on my passenger seat and is very loose.

This is my first vehicle with leather? seats. Before I take it in, does anyone know if this is indeed normal?

    Thanks!

It's weird, I've got about 8000 miles on the truck and the passenger seat barely has any use. The "looseness" follows around the entire middle section.

Negative. I've always placed heavy items (groceries etc) in the back. This is quite strange.

A direct result from too many TACO Bell runs

Looks like someone made a Home Depot run and had to put a 2X4 or two there with the tops sticking out the moon roof. But seriously, not normal. That section of the seat isn't leather by the way.

    Hi abhamber,
I had the same issue in my 18' TRD Pro(drivers seat). I took it to my local dealer where I bought my truck from. They sent it to the local upholstery shop and had a new seat cushion put in the seat(bottom part of seat). It was covered under warranty. It's been about 2000 miles(I now have about 9500miles on the truck) since and no issues. Might need to get the Service Manger involved(I did). Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, I work for a Toyota Dealer in Oregon and that would be a factory defect and should be under warranty. At times, the service manager needs to get involved with higher up within Toyota to get the approval.

I’ve literally stood on both of my seats with my head out the sunroof while I vinyl’d the little wind deflector pop up bar thing (death to chrome/metal!) and everything went back to normal.

Yeah that's warranty. No way that should happen.

Awesome! Thank you for your reply! I've booked a service appointment with the dealership. Any advice on what to say if the dealer tries to say "it's normal"

Tell him you know 3000 people with the same seat and this has never happened. Or ask him to show you a couple on the lot like that.

    Your passenger happen to have:

    1. Big hemorrhoids?
    2. a butt plug?

You should also stop storing your cannon balls in the seat for long road trips.

It looks like you have slush on the floor mat so I assume it’s cold. My girlfriend has this on her rav and that stuff usually bounces back once it warms up.

Thats their go-to-move. First, that doesn't look normal (so thats a bullshit excuse). Even if it *IS* normal, that doesn't mean its acceptable. I've said this before on here: Ford Pintos 'normally' had gas tanks explode if rear-ended. That didn't make that okay. The neighbor down the hall normally lets his dog off the leash in the apartment building. That doesn't mean its okay.

    Don't conflate "normal" with acceptable.

Something similar happened to my seat. I picked my son up from a soccer game last year & it was pouring out. I did not have any towels with me & the seat got soaked. It was deformed like that for about a week or 2. Freaked me out but it gradually got better & cant notice anything now. I thought the seat was ruined. It could get better as the weather warms up!

    So these aren't real leather?

I didn't know that. Does Limited come with same seats?
