Just looking to gather a general consensus on whether soft tonneau covers are good or not (I’m looking to purchase one)...I’ve heard they “flap” in the wind at highway speeds? Looking for advice. Thanks!

I have a gator SRX Roll up soft cover on mine and love it. It is pulled tight at the tailgate when latched and the velcro sides keep it in place. And then when I need to use my bed it rolls up nice and neat at the back glass. While it doesn't lock neither does my tailgate so I think that is a mute point in my opinion. But it keeps the weather out when traveling and provides easy access and use of the bed with out having to really remove anything. Also they have built in metal cross bars that keep it from sagging.

You can check them out here : https://gatorcovers.com/p/gator-srx-roll-up-tonneau-cover/

Just my opinion but I use my bed alot so it rolling up is the best of both worlds.

Soft tonneau's are fine as long as you get a good one that is snug fitting and tight.
I'm looking for one now but have clearance problems because of my bed rails.
Still have not found a flush fitting one that fits between the bed sides and not over the top like I used to have with my 04 S10.
To make them last treat them with a vinyl moisturizer like 303.

    ^^ This ^^

But I have the Truxedo Lo Pro. I see some movement at highway speeds , but I certainly wouldn't classify it as flapping.

Gator sfx soft tri fold. I have a decsnt amount of highway flapping. Vibrates through out my truck..will be replacing with a hard top within a few.months...its very annoying...maybe I got a bad one not sure but you can see the metal.rods that are underneath and on the highway ahen flapling it seems to catch on the metal underneath and vibrate. Atleast thats what it looks lile while driving and looming back ...
