I don’t leave the pavement often, so things like bumpers and winches are low on the priority list. Actually, they’re not even on the list.

I do leave the pavement enough to realize that I’ve been slacking in the recovery department for a while.and this really caught my attention. The MaxTrax rear recovery point and soft shackle looks amazing enough that I’ll probably order one to take care of the rear (soft shackles are pretty amazing in general)

Is anyone aware of a front recovery point that is both factory bumper and soft shackle friendly?

The TRD OR is a recovery point and works just fine with soft shackles. It is not a tow hook.

You can go big and get the ARB recovery point. Or several people make a much less expensive replacement recover point.

I would not use a soft shackle on the ARB point. Havent seen one in person, but it looks like its laser cut (aka sharp edges). You'd have to use a d-ring. With that said, no reason why you couldnt use the factory hook, as long as you're not pulling to the side or something else that would let it slide off

I take a dremel to the edges and round everything over. Did the same to my @Mobtown Offroad front recovery bar.

Relentless front and rear bumpers, Warn M-8000S Winch, Relentless RockSliders, bigger tires, bed cover RTT ... and more big changes in the works.
I also took a dremel (and grinder) to the front and rear recovery points on my Relentless Fabrication bumper to round down all the sharp edges for soft shackles.

I filed out my shackles d rig and safety thimble a little bit to create a smooth edge that a soft shackles requires.
