    Any update since this post...?

BTW, my interest would be to have a soft top AND drape the inner shell of a old rectangle-shaped tent inside (bugs protection, etc).

So what's the deal with these soft tops? I have been looking for a fiberglass camper shell for a few years now. The first year I was looking strictly for my truck color but for a used one. I have the 2007 dark blue double cab long bed. I never found one. I dropped my standards and said any color will work. Well I haven't found one for what I am willing to spend in my area.I seen a soft top drive by me today and a light went off in my head figured I would look into these. So is there different brands? whats your reviews on the different brands. I like the idea of it being removable easy to store away. I plan to use it for a place to sleep on hunting and fishing trips/take my dogs out It would need to be rain proof for late season hunting trips we get 1-3 in of snow with a few rainy days and LOTS of wind.

I ran a bestop and loved it! Easy install. Durable. Plus I think they look great. I looked at both bestop and softopper and only went with bestop cause I wanted side windows. But I love the look of the softopper too.

dam that thing looks awesome on that truck. I have the dark blue truck so id like to go with the black or charcoal I haven't seen any pics of the charcoal. How would you rate the water proofing on yours? I can almost guarantee ill be using mine to sleep in during a few rain storms possibly 1-3 in snow storms

It barely dripped once in a while. No probs. if u had a sleep platform ud b golden. It was just in the corners when I first put it on. When u slide the canvas around it closes up the holes. After I did that no probs.

After reading through the thread, it sounds like that coupon doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know of a less expensive place/way to get a Bestop? If I have to suck it up and pay around $700 I will...but anything less would be better!

I haven't checked Craigslist yet. I always feel nervous about buying something used like that online. Thanks!
