Anyone got a recommendation for a socket that protects lug nuts? It's not the shop's fault that the sockets they are using are starting to mar the paint off my lug nuts so I'm looking for some socket recommendations that people have experience with that don't mar or take off paint on the lug nuts.

It's obviously a undesirable look when you have nice wheels but your lug nuts are showing some surface rust.

    Thank you.

Taking them on and off by hand using a quality socket is really your only defense from marking up the lugs.

Wrap painters tape on the lug nuts when removing or installing the nuts. Specialized plastic lined sockets only minimize the scratches to lug nut barrels on your wheels.

Avoid using an impact wrench in order to minimize lug nut damage.
