So did you all get the front finished on the DP?

    Nope. Current status of........

Got the knuckles double sheared, limit straps mounted, and started on fitting the cage bar and coil gussets but
was frustrated by fitment issues and the ever present sickness. Closed at work all last week, which saps all my time, then was sick
last weekend to cap it all off. On the plus side @Slashaar was able to get his skids all built.

Started on the cage bar a couple night ago, which facilitated a need to go to the tool store the next day but was dampened by
Lil2Fang coming down with strep that morning. So..........

I'm wondering what the OD's are on the linkage between the clevis and the rack. Wondering if something like this would work, or a 'pinch' (idk what the term is) style.

I'm probably gonna go with the @EatSleepTacos idea you planted last weekend. Got a couple inner tubes and if that becomes and issue I was thinking about adapting
a shock boot but we'll see. We also got a new tool of destruction at 2Fang yesterday......just gotta get time to destroy with it now.

I also saw a neoprene boot that just slips over like a shock cover. Don't know if it'd really hang on well without some criminal bondage ties.

    Big Hole saw?

Here’s what ended up being my best solution. This boot, hose clamped onto the rack, loosely zip tied onto the tie rod, and soak the inside of the boot with fluid film to act as a lubricant and a rust preventative. The lube was the key to get the bolts to not get caught on the ribs of the boot. I didn’t try a normal tundra boot with the lube which might also work.

To be fair, a normal person wouldnt notice the wobble.

As a tech..... It's gonna drive me insane until I can get it up on the rack :annoyed::goingcrazy:

A friend of mine used to buy a car, repair it, then have me drive it for a day. Because he knew I'd pick out all the noises and NVH.

Not a bad way to go. You get used to your own cars too easily sometimes

Everytime a customer complains at work i feel compelled to offer them a ride in DP or DB.
Honda will seem a Mercedes after that.

@Sociopenguin @Slashaar yall know if I need a hand pump to get gear oil into front and rear diffs? Can’t find mine and really don’t want to run into town. Think the back diff will be fine.
