    .....and it seems that Marlin is never going to stock the Tacobox ever again, is my only option TrailGear? Since it's 2022, I was wondering maybe I missed another company that builds them for our 1st gens. Not that anything is wrong with Trailgear, I just want to know if I have other options.

    Yep, if dual 2.57:1 lows works for you, northwest fab is the way to go.

    I think I want to throw a 4.7 in there somewhere, but dual 2.57 is better than single 2.57 lol

    You will stall on rocks with dual 2.57 with a MT.

    True, but you should just get an atlas 4 speed at that point.

    Then TG would be about your only option.

    One big benefit to the NWF unit is the ability to clock the rear case if having a flat belly is important to you.

    It's just low enough IMO.

    Highly doubt it's low enough. Can't speak about 2.57x2.57 but recall reading a MT 3g 4r with it and still stalled. But I know for a fact that a 1g taco with a MT and 2.23x2.57 will stalled.

    Using 4.10 ratio and 3.95 first gear
    2.23x2.57 = ~93
    2.57x2.57 = ~107
    That's not a big difference

    4.88x3.95x4.7x2.57 = ~233

    Yeah that is definitely an advantage. Stock the TC hangs, it would be nice if it didn't hang below the frame.

    Or

    4.88x3.95x2.57x2.57 = ~127

    So then it seems that going dual 2.57 would kind of defeat the purpose of dual cases. Yes you'll get to crawl better, but having a 4.7 low low would obviously be more ideal.

    If it's an auto, 2.23 or 2.57 by 2.57 will be fine. With an MT, I would go 4.7

    Kind of bummed out since I like the NWF design and simplicity, but I can't pass up 4.7. Too bad Marlin doesn't get their heads out of their butts

    Run TG adapters with MC 4.7xd or comp gear with their f/f coupler. There's a handful of guys I know with that setup.

    I'll go MC 4.7 over TG 4.7

    So whether or not you can still stall it is how you define a proper crawl ratio? Not sure I agree, but whatever. I think 125ish:1 is a good crawl ratio.

    And I would really skip the TG/MC bullshit and just go straight to an Atlas is you need lower.

    OP, your current built progress should tied to your future built that you have in mind. Personally, I wouldn't go Atlas unless I go 1t. Going Atlas on IFS is pointless. I don't know anyone who done that.

    Atlas is way stronger, but I haven't seen anyone breaking 4.7 personally. Online, yes but there's plenty of Atlas issue as well if you're getting all your info there.

    I'm 4.7x2.57 on 4.88 with a waggy44 upfront and have no issue on 37. It's how you drive and the line you pick, not what you have.

    They all have issue. Keep in mind, they all leak as well! :D

    Currently I'm on 33's on 4.88 with front and rear lockers. I don't see myself going more than 35's and for sure I'm not doing tons. I just want way more control when I'm hitting trails I have no business being on. Lol
