I've got a GIRO G9 helmet that is okay but I'm going to look for something different eventually. I've got the skullcandy tune-ups that go in my helmet. Sound good, but I hate the volume adjuster. It's not waterproof and sensitive as hell. If there was a better option I'd go for it but I'm thinking of getting the same thing except with a microphone so that when my wife is trying to find me on the slopes I can answer he call on the run with this http://www.smithoptics.com/products/#/Helmets/Mountain+Electronics/Skullcandy+Single-Shot1/view/

Let me know if you find something better out there, I'm all ears... (ha ha... ok, not that funny )

ok cool. yeah i would like to do the same. i usually go with or meet like 2 or 3 other people and we keep calling and missing calls from the other. i would like to see if there is a helmet that has the speakers for music and lets me answer my phone. this past winter i had my ipod on me and phone. but i have iphone now. so i will just put what music i want to take on it.

i don’t want to have allot of stuff on me. so this year looks like i will have iphone, wallet and maybe GoPro or my nikon. and my keys. may just use my valet key and not have the key fob on my.

edit: anyone use this or know some that has? http://www.smithoptics.com/products/Helmets/Mountain+Electronics/Bluetooth+Kit/view/ it’s a bit pricy tho.

I have a Bern with built in Audio running off my phone. I use a Giro Audio cable with a Mute button only.

If you get a phone call you here it ring but odds are your not going to stop in the middle of the hill to answer it.

Using the hands free on a chair lift sound like driving down the road with the windows open. Help out the person you want to talk to by stopping at the top or bottom!

cool. yeah i would not answer it as i am riding down. but it’s kinda a pain to get to on the inside or my jacket. and i don’t want to drop it when im on the lift. i know a few people that have. and the guys at the ski place get mad and don’t want to let you get it. and are the one i go to the ground under the lift is closed off. so you have to ask to get it. or get kicked out for the day if you jump over the orange fencing.
NP i thought it was sick. i want to do one know. and do one with my dirt bike and the 4wheelers. lol. but i got to find out how to do it.

idk if they use diff wax or not. i don’t have stuff to wax and just plain on taking it to the shop i got it from. they charge $15 for wax and edge. i would talk to a local shop/store that sells boards and skis. and i hope if you ever hit a rail that you don’t bust you’r nuts open. :p

well hell, for $15 once a year for wax and edge, i may as well have the shop do it. I definitely am not at the point of hitting rails yet haha. Ive done a few jumps that ended in me going face first in to the other side of the next jump.

No difference between the two. Just a difference between temperature ranges for wax.

$15 is a complete waste of money. If you actually care about your board and want to keep the base in the best condition possible, you need to wax it atleast every few times you use it. A lot of people will wax it before everytime they use it. And I'm not talking about rub on wax.. thats for an emergency and only lasts a few runs down the mountain.
A hot wax is what you need, and it isnt hard to do. I really enjoy waxing my board and p-texing gouges.
You can get everything you need for like $40

Brand doesnt matter much unless you are racing. most shops only have a couple kinds of hot wax anyway. i think I have a few bars of swix and a few bars of something else. Basically I have cold temp wax for cold days and warm temp for spring like conditions.
Ptex is when you use a ptex "candle" to repair gauges in the base.

What ever the shop has in stock. :D
