I haven't seen many posts about the Victory4x4 bed rack and wanted to share my experience with it so far. I ordered the "Half Rack" for my 5.5' bed, as I needed my roof top tent to clear my parking garage at work (which it does).

    Ordered: 05/16/2019
    Shipped: 06/05/2019
    Delivered: 06/07/2019

Overall, not bad considering Expo West was during that time, which may have contributed to a small delay. No complaints with the order/ship time.

Packages arrived in two boxes and were EXTREMELY well packed.

There were no instructions provided with the rack, but install was fairly straight forward, and Victory4x4's youtube video covered just about everything.

My "upright" pieces were a little spread out. I'm not sure if this why by design, but when bolted they clamped to the bars just fine. Also, note that on the mid-height rack I used the two outer slots on the bars. In the youtube video, it appears they used the two inner slots, likely due to installing the tall version of the rack.

I did end up using the optional spacers provided, but wasn't sure what orientation to put them in. I don't think it matters, but I oriented them in a way so that if the nuts come loose they wouldn't fall completely out. I just pushed them up flush with the mounting portion of the upright support.

There were also no real good suggestions on how far forward or back to mount the rack. Here you can see the position I settled on towards the front of the bed and then the rear mounting locations. The rail caps just barely fit back on.

And then on to some of the downsides I observed during the install. I didn't notice when unpacking, but rather when bolting the bars to the uprights, the bottom portion on one of the uprights did not get covered in the powdercoating. It appears there is primer present, but the black powdercoating was missed. All other pieces showed great coverage otherwise. I went ahead and installed it, hoping the primer will provide protection against corrosion.

There were also a few pieces that showed these lines or scratches under the powdercoat. I can't tell if the steel is scratched or if something made contact with it during the powdercoating process. These don't bother me all that much as I'll likely be mounting something over them anyway, and it's a utility rack afterall.

Lastely, I was missing the SS washers needed to mount the fore/aft bars to the side-to-side bars. A quick trip to Home Depot and I was all set.

I never did reach out to Victory4x4 regarding these issues, as I felt they were minor and they didn't impede the function of the rack.

Overall, I'm very happy with the rack so far and I have no complaints after mounting my tent up there. There are very generous mounting holes and slots over all the bars and side panels. I plan in wiring a trio of red KC Hilites rock lights to act as third brake light, as the tent covers the light on the cab and the design of the bars will make this extremely simple to do.
