Installing a new Y pipe, three of the 4 studs on exhaust flange either snapped or stripped.

Anyone know the OEM part number or a replacement part?

Pound 'em out and use bolts.

Yeah not worth to replace in kind. Drill out and use a nut and a bolt with high temp anti seize. Likely not a separate part and integral to the manifold anyhow.

Thanks guys. I had a feeling that was most likely course of action.

I used bolts from home depot on mine, but make sure you get some metal lock washers or you may develop an exhaust leak like me :anonymous:

That’s what I ended up doing when I had one snap a few months ago. Been working fine. Just use high temp anti seize on the new bolt.

    For the nut try. 9017908059

Stud not sure i had some laying around. I broke 3 studs on 2 different 4runners trying to replace the cats. Drilling was painful they are like high carbon steel. If u can get a new nut threaded to that broken stud try it.

figured I’ll take a little hammer action to it when I take it out to get those bolts replaced. :anonymous:

Drilled that sucker out and used a bolt prob from home depot. I tried to extract it first but that sucker was stuck big time. Def as @jruiz555 noted it was a pain and I believe I did use a carbon steel bit. I had to buy new bits to do it. I first bought new studs from the dealer they are relatively cheap and new nuts but could not get it out so drill it was.

I ended up using alot of heat and most of my studs either snapped or spun. Replaced with a few bolts I had lying around the shop.

to have any chance of successfully removing rusty exhaust hardware, you need an oxy-acetylene torch- the nut needs to glow dull red.

Thanks all. Got to Home Depot and got a few bits and some hardware. All good now! Took a cut off wheel and grinder to get flush and 5 bits later, bingo!

also got some hammer time in on the clearance... :anonymous:

Well, found out putting everything back together that my mid skid no longer fits with the RST crossmember I used for the 4x4 swap. This is never ending lol
