I ordered the x2o 10k which has good reviews as well. Supposedly better waterproofing, better brake, and wireless controller. I got it for $469 on www.4wd.com with code 4wdhsebrands10. Free shipping and no tax.

Just bought the synthetic line version with a 54" trail jack for 428 from 4wd.com. the jack was 38 so that was a good deal in itself.

4wd.com and 4wheelparts is exactly the same company but still had the jack deal going on.

Do you have the link to this one? Is it really worth $110 to have 500 lbs more pulling power?

I tagged him to post up what he ordered.

I bought a x2o 10k with synthetic on ebay best offer. I think I paid $425 shipped. It was last year. I havent used it, but I hope its a good winch

Not to poopoo the x20, but I looked into the whole waterproofing scale. The x20 only needs to have a 1 min longer time to get the rating it has. Xrc with synthetic line seemed like the best bang for the buck when I was buying.

Just putting out options for the op to let him decide.

I had the same questions about the two and eventually the pros of the x2o outweighed the price difference.

X2o has a wireless remote with wired lead if your batteries die. It has a better winching gear ratio. It has an out of drum dynamic braking feature which lessens the heat build up inside the drum.

Hmmm...I don't *need* the winch, not at least now when I don't have a front bumper that's winch-ready. What to do, what to do...that's a damn good price for this one...

If you don't have a front bumper I wouldn't bother then. Any near plans to get one?

I have a custom-built bumper. It just doesn't have a winch location. Would have to fab one up.

Why is a WARN 3x the price? Hopefully you don’t get what you pay for. Some WARNs are also US made (some). The first one I had lasted 14 years on the front bumper. If it’s just for looks, I’d not worry, get the China one. I actually just carry a Hi-Lift jack as it typically gets me the foot or two back on firm ground when used for winching. $86.
