I put the OEM audio system in my 16 and the 8" subwoofer fits perfectly in the back behind the seat..

Have a car audio place build you a custom sub enclosure , that's exactly what I did on my 02 DC Pre Runner . I'm running dual 8" shallow mount Pioneer subwoofers in a custom non vented enclosure and it thumps hard

To power the amp I've got a Alpine MRV M500 amp and a aftermarket subwoofer vol control

I built my own box. 8" jl sub with an inexpensive jbl amp. Sounds great.

I wonder if they still sell those under seat slim woofers with Amp built in???

I once had 8" powered Bazooka sub, that would fit behind the seat. They have pretty decent bass and are self powered.

I already posted a pic of a powered slim kicker sub that @BlazingTaco installed in his truck. It turned out so nice.

Nice set up, what size is the speaker and where did you get the enclosure for it?

With my old Amp which was a JVC #DR 30010 my subwoofer vol control was almost maxed out ( turned to max vol ) . With the new Alpine MRV M500 amp the subwoofer vol control is set at 1/4 volume

Any louder than that the windows vibrate LOL !!!!

I have a Hertz energy 10" sub, wired in 2ohm, in a super crew sounds box, ran off of a Rockford Fosgate R5001XD amp. To fit the box, I had to remove the plastic cubby, and cut off the small/thin brackets that the 10mm screws removed from the plastic cubby went in to. The child restraint hooks remains in tact.

The quality of the box is sufficient, and does the job it needs to do... but it's not stellar. If I had to do it over again, I think I would have gotten a box from Mr Marv.

Sound quality wise - it is good clean, accurate, and deep bass. I mostly listen to hard rock, and it keeps up fantastically. Very, very, happy with the setup.

I have two Slim Rockville powered 10”. I bought them with the hope to fit them under the seats but that was a no go.. so in the passenger rear pocket they went. Sounds good. If I was to do it over again I would go with the 8” versions and hope those fit under the seats.

Thanks. It is a 10” 250 watts Rockford Fosgate dual voice coil subwoofer. A local audio company made the enclosure and installed the amp.

Interested in this setup. Do you have everything else stock? and how powerful do 2 of them get? I'm looking at doing the ********* 12" sub and a 5 channel amp but its getting up there in price.

They’re fairly affordable speakers I got both with amp kit for about $220 on eBay. Amazon has similar prices. And they have great reviews. The head unit is stock Non-JBL. I also upgraded door speakers. I feel I’m now content with the bass. It’s not the same as a proper sub with a full enclosure but it sure is decent for the price and package size. I’m now looking at installing an amplifier for the door speakers as I feel I loose mids/highs with volume.

This was the exact set up I first thought of when I shopped before posting the thread. Does it sound good, average, great or what?
