Just received my BPF skid plate at my office this morning! I bought it because when I purchased my Tacoma, the stock skid plate was MIA. The truck was in very good condition, but the skid plate was gone. Not sure why, but it's not there, and neither are the bolts. I want to put this very nice looking aftermarket piece on, but I don't know what size bolts I need. I work at a place with a large selection of stainless hardware, and I want to grab some, but I'm not sure what size to get. If anyone knows it off the top of their head it would be appreciated! Thanks.

It didn't come with hardware? I know the stock is M8 (12MM)
I'd check their site and instructions to make sure it wasn't supposed to come with new hardware

I just replaced mine and I'm pretty sure they were M8 x 1.25 pitch.

when I broke the bolts off the stock plate (RUST), I used M8 bolts with speed nuts and chiseled off the old nuts

    What's your point?
I got a reply, an answer and got what I needed. All yesterday on a 3yr old thread. Better then making a new one. There is enough dam threads already. Why not add to an existing thread that is on the same topic.

    is the existing nut salvageable?

can you take off one other bolt to match it?

I broke all my bolts, so speed nuts had to be done

m8x1.25 but the head size of the bolt will be 13mm not the 12mm OEM, all USA made m8x1.25 will have a 13mm heads the 12mm head is Japanese only
