Anyone know what size bolts attach the skid plate? After my lift the installer threw mine away and I'm going to attempt to reinstall the stock skid plate post Rcd lift. I just need four bolts.

How many of these bolts are required? 4, 6, or 8? I just got some of the splash shield myself, but needed the bolts. I had the person I bought from and he told me the M8x1.25 as well...but I didn't ask how many bolts are needed.

It only takes 4 bolts. However the two bolts in the front are longer then the two bolts in the rear that hold up the skid plate.

Funny how the toyota catalog shows same part number for all the splash guard bolts? Figure it would be different part number for longer and shorter bolts.

Yea, I agree. I took mine off two days ago and the bolts are different lengths. Don't know why the part # would be the same unless maybe it comes as a kit of all 4 bolts?

When you say 4 bolts...do you have two splash shields...there's the upper and lower or do you only have just the upper shield? The upper is for the engine and the lower is for the oil pan and tranny. So do I really only need 4 bolts, 6 bolts ( 2 bolts for each piece and 2 bolts connects the two pieces together), or 8 bolts so it's 4 bolts per splash shield?

Unfortunately the the bolts come as singles and EPC shows it as same part number hence my confusion and confusion on how many bolts I need.

The front guard needs four bolts. I can't remember how many for the oil pan guard.

I have both guards, the big one that covers the engine and the smaller splash guard that sits inside the bigger one. Mine only uses 2 bolts in the front and 2 in the back. The smaller guard rest on hooks and then gets bolted to the truck with the bigger one covering it, using the same bolts.

Thank you for the clarification... interesting how only 4 bolts will be enough to hold it and even with the hooks. Figured 6 or 8 to ensure it's all bolted down...but hey 4 it is...thanks again.
