    Evening folks,

Trucks are covered in pollen and spring grime (sap etc...) Has anyone applied simple green on the low pressure setting and then rinsed off using a pressure washer? I guess I am looking for a quick way to get the bulk of the grime off before hitting it with a sponge. Worried about using the sponge and rubbing the grime into the paint creating swirls etc... Flame me if you will but want to avoid a nasty mistake on the soft paint.

One is silver streak and the other silver sky.

Thanks in advance for any help...

    Jay

Just use a spray bottle and spray SG on (diluted) and let it sit 5 minutes. Then rinse. Reapply SG as necessary.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Do it in the shade on cool body work. Then wax the living shit out of it.

Spray it on my motorcycle in the fall to remove bug grime. Always worked well. It will remove all your wax though. Do as Steves says.

Do what Steve said and make sure you dilute the SG.You'll need to do a polish and wax especially if you don't dilute the SG enough because the surface area may dull or fade.

I use hot water and a terrycloth hand towel. IMO Simple Green is pretty strong stuff. It kicks ass on everything else in my kitchen. Even cleaned my oven. I personally wouldn't use it on my truck.

I've used it on vehicles for years and never had an issue. From my truck to a 2012 Peterbilt.

I guess-I have seen it being sold at the auto stores. But I am just going off my own experience with the stuff.

Started using SG on the windshield to get the bug juice off. Works great. Have used it on the front bumper if I am going to detail the entire truck. Don't think I would use it on my entire truck but to each their own.

I've used it on dashboards, grills, painted surfaces, glass for over 10 years and no problems on anything. More than 15 vehicles. :notsure:

Same concept as using a foam gun. I dont think theres a need to give your truck a simple green bath though. Just use soap. It'll help rinse off the loose stuff, which is enough. Then wash as you normally would.
