Hi everyone! I am getting ready to order a 2013 DCSB Sport, but after driving a manual transmission I have decided that I want a manual in my truck too. So, the wise people at Toyota have decided that if you get a manual transmission, you can't get the Entune/Navi/JBL Stereo. All 2013s come with a 6.1" LCD touchscreen in the dash that I would like to keep, but I hate the stock sound. So what signal processor would you guys use to drive a 4-channel amp for the front and rear speakers, and a mono amp for a 10" shallow mount sub?

Also very interested in hearing preferences on signal processors for our tacomas. I'm personally leaning towards the Alpine PXE-H660 that allows you to use your factory controls instead of a aftermarket control knob.

i used a Zapco 360.4 in my last car. it was a processor and amp, i absolutely loved than unit. it sounded fantastic. it allowed me to keep the factory HU which was a nice bonus in that car...

I didn't see that one, I just looked it up on crutchfield, and it looks like they have discontinued it. But after reading the specs it sounds like it would be a great unit. I really don't want to loose the steering wheel controls like you do with some processors.

    I run an Audison Bit1.1
Tons of tuning flexibility and after I've tuned it I don't touch it. In fact, I haven't messed with it in months.

Ya on crutchfield it says the PXE-H660 has been discontinued, although it's still listed on alpines site, so it's still in production, i think it might be because they don't want it competing with the JL cleansweep processor. The best price i've seen the alpine unit is on the sonic electronix website. You could also try looking up the alpine retailers in your area.

For what you are looking to do, I would recommend the Audison Bit Ten. It does signal summing, supports 5 channels, and has advanced DSP features that can help remedy the poor quality sound output from a factory head unit.
