I have a 2011 taco with 3" lift and big tires that I just bought to replace 2002 for a hunting truck. I am short and need a step to get in to keep from ruining the seat. The side steps that I have seen do not drop down enough for me to get in without climbing. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Pictures too please. I'm a 63 yr old woman and need visuals!

Thanks I really want those but I am going to be in the mud a lot and all of guys have said that is not going to work. Hope Santa is reading this and I get some amps for Christmas

Now I’ve got to figure out how to get a wire thru firewall into the cab from the feeder. Any areas?

Given bold above, and that profile says GENDER: MALE....
    o_O

Assuming that the profile is an error.... cool . Not too many women need a truck for hunting.

I'm afraid that I can't help too much on the actual question though. When my wife was pregnant, we used a kitchen stool to help get her into the truck, but that depended on my being there to pick up the stool afterward. Maybe drill a hole in a kitchen stool and a rope to pull it up? I realize that that doesn't sound all that dignified. Sorry, its all I got on that.

I have the AMP Research side steps. They drop down when you open the door. They are grossly expensive (~$1,800 installed) and I hate mine BUT they are the only step I have seen that drops down a good amount to really help aid stepping into the vehicle. Especially in a lifted truck.

Most people love them I just don’t like mine. I’m the few not the many.

There is at least 1 company that makes a motorized step that drops down pretty far. I have seen 1 of them work. Don't know anything else about them. A quick Google search came up with this.

Thanks for the tips & comments. First of all I am a 63 yr old woman that has hunted forever. I have the electric running boards on my yukon & I love them but everyone says that they will not last under hunting conditions with mud, brush, etc. I tend to agree.
As for the stool & rope idea, I’ll pass but thanks for the idea.

What about rock sliders with no angle? That, with the combination of the "Oh Shit" handle I would think would get you in.

I'm 6ft so this may be a moot suggestion.

Come on man. She's hunting in Texas.

The curb suggestion will only work if she comes to Florida and does her hunting during 'tourist season'.

We'll likely have a high bag limit this year, as the herd needs culling due to overcrowding of the Cracker Barrel and IHOP locations.

Piece of rope and a plastic two step at Walmart. Hold rope while getting in and the pull step up by the rope. Make sure rope is tied to the top sides of stool so when lowered it will be upright and you can get out easy too.
