Getting my TRD PRO later, and my situation will be:

zero off-road, in Canada, my mom needs side steps to get in the truck

    I’m thinking of:

    1. go rhino RB10/RB20
    2. Westin HDX with drop step
    3. amp research electric running board
    4. Or any better idea?

Drop steps aren’t always helpful for short/older people to get in and electric running boards seem way overpriced. They are nice but I feel like getting basic running boards would be better for your money.

Amp research steps are really nice. If you can afford them I say get those. They are out of the way and tucked up when the door is closed and looks clean. When you open it they come down and have a light so you can see. I bought some for my truck just haven't installed them yet. I like the clean look that they are tucked away when the door is closed

true.. since i'm not offroading at all, i'm struggling about the premium between drop-step and hidden boards, which is around 600 bucks.

yeah, that's half price basically of the AMP. I personally had the AMP on my f150 and loved that they are out of the way and can't see them when the door is closed. Its really comes down to aesthetics at this point because you aren't offroading

aestheticswise, imma ok with those low-profile drop-steps I picked above, but my concern is how convenient my mom can get into the car

I do not offroad. Have Nfab Epyx. Recommend them. The steps themselves hang down a bit farther and look nice. Great for shorter people and my bad hips. Easy install and a solid product. IMHO

I bought the iArmor drop steps from Amazon and my 83yr old mother has no trouble using them

well, then get the cheaper ones. Just measure the step height from the website
