So last night I installed @Nimble9 new Bike Mount. Had to make some mods to it as I don't have the plastic bed caps. Plus with the Aluminum Bed Rack it also caused fitment issues but we knew this and this is why I bought it. Because I have the RTT on top of the rack, the handle bars hit it so the fork could not lock properly. Loosened the handle bar hex bolts turned it 90° and viola. I had to take the Rotopax Mount and Gas container off that side so the bike would fit, all in all fucking sweet. I also have a mount for the driver's side that I'll leave off for now.

I will post more pics etc to show where and how it was modded to make this work with my set up. Cutting off the mount, and drilling new holes was required.

    Thanks for the initial review!

I'm glad the mounts worked out despite a pretty custom setup you have in the back there!

Awesome product I watched it all the way to work today. Not swaying, nothing, no movement. And here's the kicker, the rear mount is only currently in place by the Softopper Clamp Joel.

that's awesome! Makes me a bit nervous as that wasn't my intention, but good to know the clamp combo is sturdy on it's own!

Looks like a nice idea but the price is too high imo. If it included the rocky fork mounts then maybe but without the mounts I think a hard pass is in order.

I’m curious if over time the rear tire bracket starts rubbing the body it looks super close in the picture.

Nice setup. Curious why turn your bars sideways? I hAve something similar setup off both sides of my bed rack but never turn my bars. Been in traffic between 18 wheelers and have never been scared about them hitting. Just curious if there’s a mechanical reason you do it? Or is it just so they don’t snag on trails?

Edit: I see now that you need to do that in order to mount it next to your tent. Lol

Not even close, and way to rigid to drop down like that

Because if the RTT, straight they hit the tent side so the fork can't lock into place.

I promised my fiancé I wouldn't modify this truck... I lied.
Had the brackets powder coated. Installed with the locking RockyMount yesterday. Super solid setup. Thanks @Nimble9

I really like the concept here, but worried about leaving them on sticking out that far when not in use. I feel like I'd for sure bruise a rib, or a kid could take a wicked shot to the noggin!

Nothing major. -3rd Gen OR suspension swap. -Trailer light plug relocation.
Does anyone know of anyone who's used these or something similar with a fiberglass shell? I've seen similar set ups paired with a hard shell out in the wild and it looks like they've all involved some cutting, but I haven't been able to find anything here on TW. Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.

so the mounts themselves stick out a little less then a mirror, and only take a 14mm socket to zip on and off. They are pretty small width wise, and I personally haven’t ever bumped into them.

It’s been done, but it does require cutting if the shell, which is a commitment for sure. The only camper shells that might not need cutting are the ones that sit on top of the bed rail, and don’t have a lip that goes past.

I've got the mid rise ARE MX shell on my truck right now. Just from looking at it I know I'll need to cut it, but like you said definitely a commitment. It would be nice to hear from those that have done it to get an idea of how much of a pia it will be and tips, tricks, and hassles to look out for.

I’m running a Softopper, so I’m assuming you’d have to loosen the bed rails to take the mounts on and off?

Yes, since the ST frame mounts on top of the bike mounts. I really dig these bike mounts. I removed my bed rack frame for the winter and left the rail mounts. Gonna rig some brackets to to run similar setup with my ST. I like having my bed free for coolers, etc.. and prinsu or bed rack transport gets old dealing with the height.
