Hey guys! I finally had some time to experiment a bit with the OEM side mirror signals and convert them I to DRL’S, I’m still working on perfecting the mod.
But here’s what I have so far, this mod has potential, and will be updating as I learn more about it.
    Thanks for watching!

I’m still trying to figure the sequential portion of it. Any feedback, would help!
    Let’s figure it out together!

I can see you put some time into the vid.. good job.
    BUT
there's few things I can see wrong with this setup(IMO)
1)Backfeeding. You are running 12v power into a wire that is meant for the turn signal circuit.(which ultimately runs back into the truck into more electronics) I'd throw a diode on the pink wire for added insurance.
2)Where's your mirror signal when they are lit up? Use a switch back module so they will at least flash. You've deceased a safety feature in lieu of an aesthetic one.
3)While they may work well now, the LED wasn't designed to stay on 24-7. They use a pretty beefy chip on board and could heat up/fail after a while .Not saying it will..just be prepared if it does?
4)"They are only on when headlights are on". Well.. that kinds screws the D in D.R.L lol

Are you trying to make them sequential?

    Keep on wrenchin' though!:)

I totally see your points. All good points.
I’m still working and trying to figure out how to make it work, I’ll be posting an updated video If I’m able to figured it out.
At this point I’m not worried about making sequential, I just want them to run together with the headlights as amber side markers. Which is what they’re doing now.
As far as running them 24/7 that’s not the case.
I don’t drive with my headlights on all day haha, do you?

    Thanks for the reply man
And keep up the great work

So then these are parking lights? Not D.R.L?

    Yes that’s correct.
I’ll have to correct the tittle.

Like I said I’ll keep the video updated as soon as I do more research and how to make it happen. Everything is possible with some research

I Came up with a more permanent solution, I’ll be uploading the video soon!

Now use your original existing lights with blinker function / parking light function. without paying for aftermarket parts.

Also I’ll be showing how to tint / vinyl wrap the led assembly to my it to give it a darker smoke look to it

Will your mirror turn Signals handle being on all the time? So you would need a switch back module to have the turn signal to still blink?

Hey guys, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I am interested in trying to run my mirror signals as parking lights, while still having them flash with the turn signal. If I run something like this:

    https://www.customled.com/products/blinker-genie-2

in line with the signal wire to the mirror, and then ran a wire to the other input from a parking light source, would that work? I'm trying to get the @MESO V4 signals next time they come in stock. Would they handle running that long, even though originally designed as a turn signal? Thanks for any help guys, and let me know if there's a better/easier way to accomplish this.

P.S. I'd love to go with the V5 signal lights from MESO, but I'm looking for amber running lights in the mirrors.

    Thanks again,
    Nate.

Haha, that's fair. I'm also replacing the plasti-chrome front grill with a black grill that has the raptor lights in it. Just thought it would look cool having the three amber lights in the middle, and then the two out to the sides of the truck...

    Thanks,
    Nate.
