You just need a "T10" or "194" base bulb. Extremely common lol.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I've just got some cheap 194 LED from Amazon. The amber seemed dull and didn't last long but the whites have been going strong for quite some time.

About $5 for 10 of them. Same bulb will fit in the corner marker lights, license plate lights, and map lights.

Don't go for any that are extra long or look front heavy. You don't want to drop a bulb off into your headlight housing. Just trust me on that.

These look like what I got. Lots of people sell them.

Cannot go wrong with VLED's. Very true to their color claims, and the 194's that say 180 lumen output are almost too bright for marker lights. Don't waste your money on Amazon or Ebay bulbs, I have a whole drawer full of them. They seem to work for a month or 2, then start flickering. I have been running VLED's now for 8 months, still solid performance.

I haven't looked at the VLED's as of yet but the el cheapo LEDs use a 1N4148 diode and an extremely small 100ohm ceramic resistor. I had 2 bad ones out of the box of 10 so I decided to open them up while Amazon sent me replacements. In both the diode was bad but the resistor gets very hot very quick as it is used inline to cut the 12vdc down to 5.5 to 6vdc lol. They live on borrowed time as there is no driver circuitry... I have done some testing with the independent LEDS once disassembled. They will take a little more voltage and get slightly brighter...

    This.

I ordered some "pure white" led reverse lights for $15. Ended up being somewhere between 6000k and 8000k and not as bright as my original bulbs. I think my VLED 194s are just as bright as the ebay cheapos

It happens. :) Glad it's working for you now. I've purchased nearly all of my LEDs from VLEDS and they are amazing.

I'm confused. The post you quoted was praising VLEDS but you seem to be saying they are just as good as cheap ebay lights??

Sorry, I guess that didn't make much sense. I got cheap ebay reverse lights that claimed to be pure white and were far from it. They were also dimmer than my original reverse lights. I got VLEDs side marker lights that are colored perfectly and I love. To be very clear I love VLEDs stuff and will never buy cheap ebay LEDs again.
