How the heck do you replace the side marker bulbs on a 2014 Tacoma? When I pull on the plug, it seems to pull away from the back of the headlight revealing the wires continue to go further in to where the side marker bulb is located. There seems to be no way I can reach this bulb without removing the headlight itself.

I've read elsewhere that it just rotates and pulls out, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Please help!

They do twist and pull out. Just twist 1/4 turn, either way, and pull. I know the outer sleeve of the socket slides so just grab the inner part with some pliers and turn, wiggle and pull. When you replace, put a thin piece of duct tape on the bulb to hold onto the socket to keep it from coming out, ask me how I know.

Got it! Jeesh, that was painful. I replaced with LED side markers. I couldn’t imagine dropping a bulb inside the housing.
