I do the vast majority of my wheeling in the desert where dust poses a real visibility problem for the vehicle behind you so I figured it was time to install a chase light. I ended up purchasing a Baja S2 Sport in Amber which should get the job done. The only issue is I can't figure out how I want to mount it. I don't and won't be running a bed rack so that won't work.

Let's see your chase lights and how you have them mounted!

I have the same ATH mounts. What did you use to clamp it to the tie down rack?

**edit** looks like you used the stock mounting bracket. And added a larger washer or bolt?

My rack and tent go on and off of my truck as a unit and I’ve got KC Hilites Chase lights on my @KB Voodoo rack and use a 12-pin auto connector plug so that I could power the chase lights, area lights, and cargo lights when the rack is on. BTW chase lights work much better up in high if you are in the desert as the dust rolls so thick behind a vehicle down low D1E56018-8D50-4715-A131-1816E2A08497.jpg9DA3F106-2ECD-4353-B1F5-AC4D0E7B2514.jpg79644881-2449-4351-A1CA-0C2EBEFBCC91.jpgEBB88C72-17E9-419C-832B-5AFA4B17868E.jpgE0E5D503-AAB9-4A3B-AD1A-B78618606F5A.jpg

I like that 12-pin connector. Nice and compact

Mine is really too low for a useful chase light, but I've used it before when the fog gets really brutal on the freeway..

If sdhq is close go and see if you can make it fit. Maybe I’m retarded and couldn’t figure it out. I could be since the pic on the website looks to be a Tacoma too lol.

I hooked it up to my switch pro so I can dim it. Made it about spot of drivers head behind me for max brightness. Sometimes too bright hence the reason I dim it. If I could do it again I’d Get the s2.

Ended up with the SDHQ mount and the Baja S2 Sport Wide Cornering in amber.

A couple photos before I ran the wire between the bed and cab:
