Yea I had the stocker. It was garbage, on a slight incline in 80-90 degree weather my tranny would reach 200. I'd cruise at around 195 when towing. I wouldnt even think about towing with the stock cooler on there if its 100+ degrees outside.

Not towing right now I average 135-150 degrees. Going to have to block it off this winter on those 30 degree mornings.

The Hayden and B&M are both plate and fun as opposed to tube and fin. Both are around 70-80 dollars

Awesome. Lol. I'm very happy with my choice, even if it was double the cost. I'm not comparing mine to another brand, just wanted to give others all the details in my post so when they are shopping they can make a more educated purchase.

Are these coolers plug and play? Does it matter which side hose is the return or supply?

Most coolers are not flow directional, at least any that I've ever dealt with. I just made sure my fluid was being pushed up through it. I didn't have to lengthen or change the lines that went to the original stock cooler, plug and play in that aspect. Just had to make my own brackets. Can get as intricate and creative as you'd like really. I did have to move my horns to the passenger side which forced me to lengthen one of the horn wires. Fairly simple, took me about 3 hours start to finish.

Here's a good write up that I referenced when installing mine. Should give you an idea of what to expect.

Here's more info on it from the same gentleman that wrote the How-to

Putting the truck to work over Labor Day weekend. Super happy with the new mods. Ran up Ashton Pass (6% grade for 2-3 miles) at the speed limit of 65 and was able to accelerate up to 70. Could never do that before, even with the old, lighter camper. 60mph wrapped out was all I could do.

4.88 gears and a URD Ucon EMS. Since the previous trip to Island Park. Old camper was 4300lbs dry, this one is 5800lbs dry. And the new one pulls so much nicer. Kinda crazy really for the difference in weight.

Did I read correctly that you have a Magnussen SuperCharger? And that you had some issues with regard to error codes related to snorkel orientation?

Or do I have you confused with another? Probably! Just asking as I'm going to be looking at the SuperCharger or TwinTurbo options; primarily for towing. As you are aware error codes/resolution and troubles in general are important. I don't want to be fussing with my intake to "get it right".

I have the TRD supercharger. And yes I did get some codes while messing with my snorkel head and intake while towing this weekend. Pretty sure it was just because I messed with stuff and didn't reset the Ucon/ECU. All seems to be good again. And they now make a snorkel for the 05-15 that flows much more air than the diesel Hilux snorkel I have on my truck. As much as all the power is super nice. Changing out the gearing had the most benefit. The factory 3.73's are just not a good towing ratio. An effective ratio in the 4.10 to 4.30 range would be great. I went too low, so I have bigger tires waiting to go on now. Lol

Thanks! How was the fuel mileage on that 65-70 mph pull up a 6% grade?

Thirsty! But I averaged 9.1 for the whole trip up there and it is a slow climb the whole way other than Ashton Hill itself.
