I just messed around with the coding for scanguage II using the main code and alternate codes. I now have two temps for the trans. But, not sure where I got the original code from because it does not match the current code I have. But the original climbs and drops quickly when the torque converter unlocks and locks and the other moves very slowly up to about 155. Only had very short drives since this but will test it this weekend as I am going camping again. I too, would love to see what temps others are running. I do not want to loose another trans. But I do believe it is my weak point as I am towing ALOT of weight. LOL.

Did a trip to RI ,320 miles round trip pulling my camper . Torque converter temps averaged between 170-180 . Pulled a couple big hills ( Blanford Mountain , Mass Pike ) and hit 210 for a few seconds . The new Dakar leaf springs and the Timbren SES bump stops made a big difference in the handling. Averaged 65 mph and the truck did it’s job no problem !

Buddy's moving his wood shop, we moved a bunch of 8-12' sections of rough sawn oak, hickory, elm, ash, and a little bit of basswood today. No idea how much it all weighed but truck handled it no problem. I'd guess gross weight with trailer was somewhere in the neighborhood of 5500 or so? but I really don't know. Lot of dense wood.

The reading that fluctuates more often is of the torque converter?

Just completed a 600 mile round trip up to Weed, CA! 3,500 ft of elevation. Truck did awesome, transmission never went over 170 thanks to the Derale 52506 cooler. Did have to turn the A/C off on a few of the longer grades. Motor temp would start to creep over 200 degrees with it on, 204 was the hottest I saw with ambient air temp of 91 outside. Cruised 60-65 on the flats, and in the hills was able to maintain 55 fairly easy. Ended up with an average about 12mpg. Trailer is 3600 dry, loaded down were probably right around 4500 pounds. Not to shabby for stock gearing on 33's lol

I can't give you a 100% educated answer lol. But from my research, the Derale 52506 had the highest BTU numbers and best reviews so I just went with it. And it being a plate/fin design vs tube/fin steered me towards it versus some of the others.

I ended up not actually towing this, for a few reasons but primarily because we realized it would never make it through the several miles of rough dirt road needed to reach the gravel bike race aid station, where we planned to deploy, and then the return. Very low clearance under the steps, both on the side and the rear departure angle (not visible). But the picture looks good!

Did you switch to this cooler from the stock one? I've got the stock cooler in and still see ~170 in temps on a hot day not towing anything.
