Hi all. My girlfriend is a very busy landscape design and installation contractor and uses a second gen longbed double cab as her work truck. It is a F-king disaster. The back seat is jammed with equipment, there are things stuffed in every cubby up front, etc. I'm planning to help her totally reorganize and setup the truck for work as her birthday present. So far, here's what I'm going to do:

-New seat covers, looking at carhartt
    -Weathertech floor liners
    -New rubber bedliner
    -Cell phone mount

What else would you do? I was wondering if there is a good laptop mount or something that would be easy to stow away when not in use but allow her to type and use autocad when in the truck.

Shoot me your ideas and pics

    You are flirting with trouble.

ASK her what she wants done to organize (if anything), then do just that and only that. Do not try to improve on her ideas and wishes.

As an example, have you ever looked in a woman's purse?????? She can reach into that magic bag and pull out a bobby pin without looking, a man can't find a checkbook without dumping the whole mess on a table.

Their desk, car, bathroom, kitchen, make up drawers............all follow the same method of organization. The female brain is ordered differently, men will never comprehend the order of the female brain.

BTW, you'll earn more "points" doing the organization how she wants. Remember, 1 "aw shit" will wipe out 1000's of points.

These look decent. Maybe they’re the originators, other’s I’ve looked at are cheesy.

its a quality product its not some cheap flimsy ABS plastic they are quite sturdy and well built. my only regret is not pulling the trigger on them earlier. think on Amazon if you buy two pieces its 20% off

My 2013 single cab passenger seatback folds forward and becomes a table. This maybe in hers also and you don't realize it.

Awesome thanks for the replies everyone. I can definitely guarantee that the car is just like a purse, she knows what she has in there, but unlike a purse, can't get to things as she would like and it is definitely hurting her productivity and her business. She thought she had a shovel the other day and arrived at the job site to plant several large bushes with nothing on hand to dig with. So, I think the compromise of all the above items that I'll go with is a shovel and clamp that she can put it onto the back of her headache rack with. It's not as tacticool as Molle but should be functional. I think a locking bed toolbox would be great, however, I honestly think a tacoma is not the best truck for what she does but she loves it so I guess we'll deal with it. I like those gator floor liners but can't find them for 2nd gen so far on Amazon, may look elsewhere because the price is right.

Side note, holy S--t have you seen the price of Carhartt seat covers?! $850 for front and rear are you serious!! It seems like these days any Tacoma mod worth having is $500-$1k. With that said, the Goose Gear rear seat delete is pretty sweet. I'll put that in the category of "need to discuss first" lol.

This is the one I wonder what the end result was. Can’t get it out of my head.
