Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

a few years ago, when i was doing a lot more coordinating between different trades/jobs, i learned to always ask what time any of their work force was planning on showing to start performing the work. everyone says "in the morning" but there's really 3 different trains of thought. there's the guys that are out there at 3-5am to try to beat the afternoon heat, the guys that start at 7-8 because that's just work, and the guys that start at 9-11 because they don't leave the shop until well after they're loaded up and caffeinated...

Yesterday I mulched leaves for about 2 hours, it was both satisfying and a bit sad.
I would rather mow year round than deal with snow.

Absolute stunner of a sunrise this morning. Swung by the boat ramp on my way in.

 

Nice sunset yesterday evening from the deer blind at the house. I did see a small deer right at dark.




I decided to clean the stove pipe out when I got back to the shop, man was it nasty.

 

It had just went in the oven yesterday when I left so I picked it up this morning. Made some decals for it last night.

 

They dug all the stuff up for the pumps and supply lines to them. Tanks are still in the hole, they cut a hole in the end of them for some reason.

 

hell, I wooda been throwin some topwater rite chair fo-sho...

 

I can see the value of leaving early just to sit there for a few minutes every morning and contemplate.
