    Hi all -

Looking for solid shops in Seattle area that can do general maintenance and possibly some performance upgrades - any recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Jason

Mule Outfitters in Preston and The Toyota Shop at Toyota of Bellevue are popular places.

SMART service is a pretty good group of folks too, for general maintenance and stuff. I've been to the one in Mukilteo.

However, I'm definitely trying to get on BootyFabs list at some point.

I've heard that they are good on the Subaru side. Good know about Toyota possibilities.

Thankfully, it has only been my garage or a tire shop so far.

Here are some prices for SMART, just in case. Mine is a '03 4x4, manual.

New front rotors and pads: $572
Rear shoes and drums: $911 (less if no wheel cylinder needed)
    Their "Major" service: $849
Timing chain and water pump: $1684
Valve cover gaskets replacement, including plugs: $670
    Rear driveline carrier bearing: $659

Im not doing all that right now, just posting up some prices I know. data points, hahaha.
