    -fox 2.0
    -ome susp
    -bilstein 6112

If you don’t offroad frequently and you need to save to afford Kings then I recommend going with 6112/5160. IMO it’s the best deal for your money.

Had this setup on my 2nd gen and the ride quality was great. Highly recommend it.

Are you putting King shocks in a higher category than all others? If so, then you need to do more research. Don’t fall in to the hype. Call and talk to professional race shops and installers. King are not the best. They are great, but others like factory racing series Fox and Elka are made better and have better technology.

6112/5160's are the best bang for your buck imo.

I’ve been a fan of the OME setup and run the on previous trucks and I’m also in the processed of installing one on my 2020. I’ve not found something that is a better price/performance, though there are certainly better and more expensive options available.

I’ve looked at those a bit and would be interested in understanding more and I’m not ordering components until Monday.

The 6112's are probably bigger than the OME ones, I assume.

Stock has gotten me pretty deep into the woods, especially with 275/65R16s or similar.

Scrap the suspension and buy a great set of tires and skid plate.

Seems the ones the vehicle came with would be just fine for your use.

The desire for a 2” lift is the key I’m taking from this post.

OP - as many will say the Bilstein setup is a great bang for the buck, which I probably would have gone with if it wasnt for the insane deal I got on brand new Fox 2.0s here on TW back in the fall. I will finally get around to installing them in about a month or so. If you haven’t decided on what to go with before then I’ll let you know how it goes with the Fox setup on my truck

Sounds just like what the Schindler salesman told the developer about their elevators compared to Otis.

Yet the folks living in the high tech Schindler equipped building walk the stairs way more than the folks in the low tech Otis equipped buildings.

'Better technology' isn't always the best answer. ;)

Stock, with tires. If you're not exceeding this the OR shocks will be fine.

Just for what a casual trail bopper might see.

I'd agree if his post was focused towards that. It was more like an afterthought they way he mentioned it. He wont need lift to achieve the off roading occasional thing.

If he wants lift simply for looks, then that's different. Of course I would never recommend spacers. But at this point, 5100s would do him fine. If he HAS to change the suspension.

A picture is worth 1,000 words.
I've heard the stock OR 4600 Bilsteins are pretty decent off road for light stuff. Personally I would have no issue keeping them unless I needed increased ride height then would choose the 5100s which are a direct OEM replacement.

Not bad eh? Was about 97*, zero breeze and killer humidity, and I had to hike up different sections about 3 or 4 times to ensure passage.

I probably walked all the trail I drove that day. Haha

Two day old 2020 TRDOR with stock suspension, no skids, no bumpers, no winch, and five hours on the trails in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Ain’t nothing wrong with the stock suspension. That said, I do prefer a couple of extra inches.
