For paved roads only, two wheel drive, no heavy loads. Which brand is most preferred ? Standard low budget KYB or Monroe? Thanks.

I've heard that the Monroes ride "nice" but that was also during a discussion about the Bilstein 5100s.

I had KYBs on my 5 lug many moons ago, and they were "fine". Nothing spectacular by any means.

Honestly though, I doubt there is much, if any noticeable difference between ANY of the lower budget shocks out there.

Just find what are on sale.

Can't go wrong with KYB. That's what I used to switch out my old 96 2wd shocks.
