I have a 2002 Prerunner crew cab that I just added 3" lift blocks in the rear. The stock rear shocks are almost fully extended now. Do you have any recommendations or shock part numbers that I can pick up from a local parts store that would work for my application? I am guessing they would just need to be 3" longer.

Bilstein 5100s will accommodate that lift. You’ll also want to mod the load sensing proportioning valve in the brake system.

Can I get these at Autozone? Does Monroe or another commom brand make anything that will work?

You asked for a shock that'll accommodate your lift.

    Now you're disregarding that advice?

No, the shock companies you mentioned will offer shocks that are factory replacements which means they'll be offered in factory extended/collapsed lengths.

You might be able to order them through AZ, but won’t be able to just get them off the shelf. I’d just order through an online retailer

Im not disregarding any advice..... I asked for something I could pick up locally. I appreciate his recommendation just looking for something I could pick up at a parts store. I know that the shock companies I mentioned offer factory replacements but they may have shocks designed for other vehicles that would be the needed length. Thats why I came here to see if anyone could lead me in the right direction.

If you have a 4wheel parts close by or suspension shop they would probably have something or be able to get it for you fairly quickly

... and get rid of those 3" lift blocks while you're at it.

You'll want shocks/springs up front too, unless you're going for that sweet stinkbug look.

You can get a set of 4 5100s for <$400.

There are many on-line vendors that sell 5100s. Wheelers is a popular vendor here, I've bought from them before. Hell Amazon has 5100s.

I bet you have righteous axle wrap with those blocks, especially with stock leafs. My suggestion is the set of 5100s and an add-a-leaf in the back. Ditch the blocks. Ideally, new springs (front and back) will give a MUCH better ride, rather than lifting the truck simply by making the springs stiffer.
